Dome appointed to Fitzroy Place development
Dome Consulting has been appointed to provide its Dome Connect software to the new Fitzroy Place development.
Situated in the heart of London’s West End, the area is being transformed to create 235 residential apartments, 20,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space and 220,000 sq. ft. of commercial office space on the site of the former Middlesex hospital.
The software will be used across the entire Fitzroy Place portfolio, where it will be one of the first developments to use the new Dome Connect. The system, set to be officially launched later this year, is Dome’s new and re-engineered project collaboration software with the ability to also provide BIM management, commissioning management, O&M manuals and asset management to any construction project.
Fitzroy Place is also set to become the capital’s latest business hub following the announcement that Estee Lauder is to take over an entire building within the portfolio.
No. 1 Fitzroy Place is set to become the brand new UK & Ireland headquarters for the global cosmetic and perfume giant, with the company pre-letting the entire 144,000 sq. ft. space. Estee Lauder Cosmetics, whose brands include Estee Lauder, Clinique, Mac and Bobbi Brown, will be moving all of its London staff and training schools in to one building, as well as creating a range of retail units at the ground level.
Dome have been appointed on Fitzroy Place by Jones Lang LaSalle, who are the joint letting agent on the project, on behalf of leading property developer Exemplar, who are heading a consortium with Kaupthing and Aviva Investments. Construction is now well underway with the project due for completion in summer 2015.
